Whatever happened to the Zoom Fix?

Months ago when the Surface Pro was first released, Microsoft promised a Zoom Fix that would allow users to have different zoom percentages on external monitors. They said they were working hard on it and would get something out soon.

So far, crickets.

Anyone have any ideas? I would love to be able to have my SP at 125% zoom and my external monitor at 100%.

that's the problem you have to bing it...Windows 8.1 may get promised automatic desktop display scaling - Neowin

This will definitely be welcomed new functionality because I have two 30-inch monitors and I'd much prefer to have them at 100% zoom.

Let's hope it does it make it into 8.1!
