Video Editing on SP3, i5 Enough?

I have the original Surface Pro, and I can use Sony Vegas and After Effects smooth, no lag whatsoever, only some when previewing a video in Vegas in high quality.

The only problem with these apps are the UI, it's too small on the surface, but if you have
a separate display, then I guess you're fine.

Yes the controls were something I knew would be an issue in Vegas (there's a joke in there somewhere).

I am confident the i5 is a good choice for me. Now I just have to stack my pennies and get one next month.
