USB drive stops WiFi from working

Tried 2 different hard drives and one thumb drive, not sure i've got any others to try.

Wish I could help. Using USB hasn't caused an issue for me ... yet. That's with both a thumb drive and an HDD attached with a Vantec adapter.

Interestingly it seems USB2 drives work....

Just pluging in a usb2cable into my usb 3 drive and it works fine. If i use a usb3 cable into the same drive then it stops wifi from working, but only when i'm using the external hard disk.

USB 3 uses more pins than a USB 2 cable. I do think from your description and the fact that a 3.0 thumb drive does work either that there's a problem with the port.

I've also had this same issue yesterday.

I only got my pro 4 yesterday too.

I've done all the updates but have t tested it as yet

I called MS support, they couldn't immediately solve the issue. I'm returning mine and getting a new one.
