That firmware was scary, kept going on and off installing and the fans blowing one time thought messed up. seems okay if a little hot now, maybe paranoid.

I installed it all. didn't even watch to see how long it took or what it did. anyone know yet what was in the Firmware?

They were supposed to release the fix for the sd card/battery problem today.

Is there a link to where the updates can be downloaded manually? I have a SP2 and they're not showing up in Windows Update -- a lot of other standard Windows updates did show up, just nothing Surface-related :-(

Same thing happened to me; was rather scary. Time to test if I can leave the microsd card in now...

Got all the updates (this is on the Surface 2). Now need to see if there is a discernable battery improvement.

Reading the firmware notes its meant to help with the crashing in sleep. Crashed from sleep aready for me, and the top power button on mine now makes it now turn of and restarts if push it again but is set to goes to sleep . No fix here for me :c
