Surface RT video output

There is a thread in the Surface Pro forum concerning using a MiniDP to HDMI cable.

One of ads that is linked in that thread states that the cable does not work with the Surface RT.

Does anyone know why this might be and how I can be sure that a cable will work with the RT?

Google helped me answer my own question. The RT has a MicroHDMI port and the Pro has a MiniDP port, so I need a MicroHDMI to HDMI cable rather than a MiniDP to HDMI cable.
