Surface Pro Hibernate

Hi,

i have a strange issue with my SP.

Whenever i don't use the SP i put it into Hibernate mode (not standby), While in Hibernate the SP should not eat up battery life.
Unfortunately my SP eats up the battery while in Hibernate ( ~ 30 % in 8 hours).

A complete reset of the SP did not help.

Anyone else with this issue?

Plus my fans have been running like crazy with just Chrome running.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I cant say i have noticed the same thing. I usually shutdown my SP if i know i am not going to be using it for a while. I usually leave it in hibernate mode if im using it frequently.

I think the 8.1 preview set battery life back a little and is a known issue. I know if you disable BT in 8.1 you actually lose battery life.

i had an issue with the battery. After contacting the Support i received a replacement.

Now everything is fine.

Btw...

Use the following command in the command line to see the battery utilization.


powercfg -batteryreport


You can find the report in your user Directory.
