Surface Pro 2 - best ways to transfer files with desktop

Remote Desktop is completely different from OneDrive. Remote Desktop Hosts are limited to Windows Pro or higher without 3rd Party Solutions like Splashtop or TeamViewer...we will need mire info to assist you.

I went to that link, but the procedure doesn't work for me at all. First there is no OneDrive icon, still SkyDrive on Windows as far as I can tell, and right clicking on the icon that is there has no 'settings' as a menu selection.

Possibly this only works on OneDrive for business??

that's the problem haha, I said I don't how to make that work, but if they have got this feature, it has to work somehow!

It works on Windows 7 or earlier machines running the OneDrive Win32 Client...

"You can use a PC running Windows 8.1 to fetch files that are on another PC, but you can't fetch files that are on a PC running Windows 8.1, even if you install the OneDrive desktop app on that PC."
