Surface pen tips (nibs)

Strange, my pen was not working today and when I examined it the tip was missing.

When I could not locate it loose upon the floor or around the area I went to the Microsoft Store in St. Louis.

They gave me three for free. I was worried, since I heard that some stores were not giving any extras, just replacing bad missing ones. Still strange that it fell out? There are two ribs in the tip to keep it locked in.
