Surface 2 RT Open protected PDF failure

I cant open a protected pdf in the reader app on surface 2 rt. so I downloaded the adobe reader touch app and I cant open protected pdf in that either. can anyone help please.

You might give this a try. I don't know anything about this myself, just something I found

Basically it says to remove the DRM protection using Epubor on a computer first.
