I have my SP3 for 10 days now and I love it, I really do. Everything was fine until I started to watch movies on it and they look really bad... like awful. I noticed some really bad things going on in the dark scenes in the movie.
Instead of being many shades of grey they just come out black on the screen. Even with the screen on maximum brightness they are 100% black. It is certain that the colors are there in the image itself. This can be demonstrated by plugging the signal from the Surface into a separate monitor, you can see all the shades of grey again. But on the screen of the Surface - just black.
I have all updates installed and the latest update helped a bit but still, watching movies is an awful experience
