Trying to use this tv:
https://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-D40u-D...01A0LGV06/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
as a 4k monitor at 60hz with my surface pro 4. Only able to get it to work at 4k 30hz. Using this adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matter...Technology/dp/B00PJ3LSIG/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_i
And this hdmi cable:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQ9OQU2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
All support 4k at 60hz and others have used the same cable and adapter to get a samsung tv to work with SP4 at 4k@60hz
The hdmi is connected to hdmi 5 which supports 4k at 60hz and specifcially says it is the port for 4k 60hz.
As is typical for others doing this with other 4k hdtv's initial connection starts at 30hz but when 60hz is selected it has worked with the same hardware and a different hdtv for others.
When I try to select 60hz the sceen goes blank until the computer reverts the settings to 30hz. All hardware supports 4k 60hz and others using the exact same hardware but different tvs have had success yet I have not. Is there any possible solution or things that I can try to get this to work? I don't understand why this wont work when all hardware supports 4k@60 and the option for 60Hz is given as an option. The tv has other hdmi ports that only support 4k@30 and when connected to these the 60Hz option does not show up as would be expected. The port that supports 4k@60 does give the option, it just doesnt seem to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated
