Skype app notification problem

i dont unterstand the new Skype Version.. on my surface i neither get any notification(info or sound) if someone writes to me nor am i seeing all of my contacts online who i now are online..the same Thing on my Windows 8 pro app. any idea?

Have you tried the Skype app settings in the charms bar? There may be options there to change the notifications.

unfortunately the only a notifications option i find there is "who can contact me".

How about general settings from the Start screen>charms>settings>notifications?
