Problem opening portfolios with Adobe Reader

When I try to open a pdf portfolio in Windows RT on my Surface, I get this message: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later." with a link to download the Reader. Of course, only Reader 1.0 is available for RT; there is no Reader 9 for RT. So how do I read this document? The Reader app by Microsoft in RT and Word 2013 for RT give the same message.

Other, non-portfolio pdfs open normally.

I think, if I remember correctly, the PDF files you are having a problem with were created with JPEG2000 support witch the version of Adobe for RT doesn't support. But that's a SWAG on my part. The problem has been reported before.
