This is good news indeed.

The battery actually doesn't matter to me at all as mine's plugged in 95% of the time, and even when I take it on the road it's only ever a couple of hours before I get to another plug socket. What will interest me if it turns out to be a proper 'dock'... here's hoping.

I use Surface Pro mostly near a plug so battery isn't a big problem for me, i just plug when battery is over. Power Cover will add time to Surface Pro, but more time to Surface Pro 2 and even more time to Surface 2 because of the energy efficiency of their processors.
