Muting notifications overnight?

Does anyone know if there is a setting that let's me mute the mail notifications. Am using the surface as a kindle reader so its beside the bed and those stupid overnight emails keep making it bleat pathetically at me during the night.

Is there an option for ignoring notifications between certain hours?

Have looked everywhere obvious but must be missing something

Aw: Muting notifications overnight?

Open the charms bar and select settings. You can turn off notifications for up to 8hrs.
