Microsoft update blunders going out of control

It really is bad out there. This may explain quite a bit for some people.

There are a number of possibilities for these issues. IMO the most likely is a change in the teams doing the updates. Like if most or all were replaced by people in another country or by a younger generation.

Coder1: Hey, what's this function do?
Coder2: I'm not sure, It seems innocuous and the comment says its for Win XP.
Coder1: I'll just remove the call to eliminate the problem.

Windows User: Arg, Why is this broken after installing updates???
