They claim to have made the surface "lappable" with a two-position kickstand

More "lappable" and yet still not "lappable" as a "lappable" laptop. lol.

Two position kickstand = Original 22 degrees + new 44 degrees ("lap").

I was expecting them to make the default angle lower, due to all the complaints of it being too steep.

So basically the kickstand is going to be either too steep or too low for most people now.

Unless of course you have an adjustable stand + case

Newsflash from watching actual event, the Surface Pro is actually the best selling tablet in its class. So its been very successful for MS. Hmmm..I never knew that...we know the RT flopped and before price drop, pro sold way more. But the pro deserves some props here.

Also, that new RT Surface 2 is a beast. Everything moves super fast on it. I think MS finally got it right this time around.
