LCD Pressure Issue with Stylus

Hi guys (and gals),
I currently own a Surface 3 and I recently purchased a Surface Pro 4.

I am not sure what the technical term for this is, but I have noticed with the SP4 that the screen is much more prone to (or sensitive) to light pressure causing the rainbow effect that I have shown in the picture.

I understand that pressing on the layers of an LCD can cause this effect and all screens are different, but I am using the same light to medium pressure that I use every day with my S3 and it does NOT exhibit this characteristic.

Most concerning, however, is the issue show in the attached pic. There is a zone in the upper right of the screen where the effect not only happens under the pen tip, but it also creates two more "phantom" spots (circled in red) above the location of the pen. I assume this is not normal and I am still within my exchange period at the Microsoft Store. So my question is...does anyone else have this, is it considered normal and should I request an exchange?

Any insight or info is greatly appreciated...thanks!
