Is it possible to launch OneNote from hibernation using the pen?

The title of this thread is my question. I’m not sure if I imagined it, but I could have sworn I was able to launch open OneNote clicking the pen, even when SP3 was in hibernation. Now it won’t launch unless it’s in sleep mode. I tried googling for the answer but couldn’t find anything about OneNote starting up from hibernation.

A minor question related to this is, is there a way to tell whether your machine is in sleep or hibernation mode before tapping the power button? I’m guessing there isn’t. The only way I can tell right now is after pressing the power button. That and OneNote not launching from the pen

If the unit is in hibernation the Pen will not work. As far as I know, it only works if the unit is in sleep mode.
