Is it possible to get the keyboard to function while detached?

Is it possible to get the keyboard to function while detached. Possibly by using a 3rd party Bluetooth fob or similar?

I doubt it. Maybe one day, but i've not seen anything yet. Perhaps the old SP2 bluetooth adaptor could work, but i've not seen anyone try.

If it is importance, then for the price of an adaptor, why not just buy a cheap as chips bluetooth keyboard for the meantime. You can get some whi'll take up next to zero space in a bag. Granted it won't be as nice a typing experience as the surface keyboard, but better than nothing if it is important.

I work mobily (is that a word?) so bringing 2 keyboards around doesn't really make sense. I guess I could do this with the SP4 instead since you don't lose anything by not having the type cover. Still seems low rent though.
