A feature of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 Technical Preview on the Surface family of devices has proven helpful to some people I have assisted.

You can turn on screen indicators for each of your (up to 10) fingers on the screen. Some people like to see some screen feedback of their touch.

Charms, Settings, Change PC Settings, Ease of Access, Other Options.

Four fingers touching the screen (fifth finger pressing the Windows Logo).

How to do this:

A little bit unrelated:
I tried to disable it completely, but instead of displaying no feedback at all, it showed a tiny star, like in a pen hover.
How do I disable the tiny star? (Im fine with no star on pen hover)

I've had this feature on for a while and it's pretty handy. I've been having some phantom touches at times, and it's weird seeing the screen register a touch and the circle appears when I'm not even touching the screen. Pretty freaky.

Not stock background. Just one I have around. Since I am an earth scientist, I collect images of maps and natural landscapes, and artwork reminiscent of same. ;)
