Can someone tell me how to transfer my Windows live contacts to my Surface RT

As Arnold suggested, did you add your Live account?

When I signed up for windows live email on my windows 7 machine I used my yahoo account which is already in my surface email so it tells me it is already present. The problem is all of my contacts are in live on my computer and I did not want to have to re-enter all of them to the Surface. Any thoughts are helpful

If they do reside in your Live account just open your Surface RT email > Charms Bar > Settings > Accounts > Add an account

My Windows Live account is not even Hotmail, it is my company account setup during the "Passport" days, and it still works today. The instructions mentioned by @bosamar should link it.
