Dragging things in Internet Explorer

Is there a way around this...?

If I have a dragable item on a web page and try to drag it downwards (like the tiles in an online scrabble game), IE scrolls the page instead - is there anyway to change from scrolling to dragging somehow? I end up having to use the mouse/touchpad instead.

I would say probably not as the game is expecting a "mouse click and drag" action and you giving it a "touch scroll" movement. I would say it is probably up to the game developers to make things compatible with touch screens.

I guess so - but it IE had a method of altering the behaviour when i need it (through some sort of gesture perhaps) that would have been an awesome workaround
