Solved Can't update...no windows 10..help!

My surface pro 3 hasn't been able to update for over a month now. Everytime I run windows update it just spins and spins those dots in a circle.
I have run windows update troubleshooter and tried any solution suggested.
Date and time is correct, 2 button restart,
internet works fine....
This might be related to my other problem which is, even though I reserved my copy of windows 10, I am in London, I don't have a notification to say I can download Windows 10.

What should I do?

Did you get that error using that link? If you did then you have a general downloading issue, possibly WiFi or other network issue. That link only wanted to download a stub that would download and create an ISO.

The only other explanation would be if the servers were snowed.

Is this on a corporate network? They may have things blocked. Have you tried from a public location.

Thanks everyone for your help. The servers must have been snowed. Downloaded superfast this morning. I did have to use that like though. Now to join everyone in the Windows 10 adventure.
