can't I send emails?

when I try to send an email on my surface 2 I get a message on top of the page saying " There is a problem sending emails . Check with your provider". The email just sits in my outbox, but if I open the AOL app I have no problem se3nding them. I called AOL, they said it's not them.
PLEASE HELP!!!

My suggestion would be to remove the account, restart then add it back again and see if it works.

I did that. When I hit send, it goes back into my out box. Thanks anyway!
