Can anyone do me a favor and test this out?

So I forced it to use the nvidia card globally for every application and then ran it again. It was flawless (and stunning!). I set it back to auto select, and it still won't let me specifically set nvidia for just the MPC-HC application. Very annoying.

I suspect yours is somehow using the nvidia GPU sharpcolorado.

That must be it.

I have the MPC-HC shortcut on my desktop and tried right-mousing on it, selecting Run with graphic processor->High-performance NVIDIA processor. But on my i5 I don't seem to notice much difference between NVIDIA and integrated graphics. The first parts with the mountains and the forests seems a little jerky but the rest is fine. At speed (0.5x - CTRL-Down), cpu utilization drops below 100% and it plays very smoothly for both options.

I had no idea that Run with graphics processor command existed! That works perfectly. Thanks Mikey!
