Best drawing program?

Yeah i agree with nuttyone the fresh paint program is good enough for me with limited skills, it probably abit too limited for a artist...

I think I have that for my SP2. I don't think it does layers. Is there anything that has multi-layers for sketching?

I admit I use Freshpaint too, I'm just a casual sketcher though so I don't need layers. I have tried Photoshop CC but found the pen lagged a bit. Corel Painter is supposed to be quite good for a natural media feel, probably better than Photoshop. I like Freshpaint because the oil paints an oil pastels feel really realistic.

Free: Autodesk Sketchbook, Mischief/ MyPaint; Paid: Photoshop (best with bluetooth keyboard), ArtRage, Corel Painter

thanks for the ideas. Once I get my Surface on Monday, I'll try it. :( UPS is smart, they stopped movement for the weekend just one hop from where I could req a pickup from the UPS store, so I have to wait till Monday.

Oh, I forgot- there's also ArtRage Touch in Windows Store- I think it's paid, but doesn't cost too much. That said, desktop version of ArtRage is already great on Surface, because UI is very well tailored for using with touchscreen :)

I'm going to take a look at that. I draw to relax really on my surface I find it very therapeutic, I'm on the lookout for other apps. I have PhotoshopCC which I use for photography but it's too much for me for drawing on.

I just downloaded Artrage app.. how many days is the free trial... I think Ill be dead before it expires......there must be some other restriction on the trial...lo.
