Battery Wear - is 3% out of box normal?

i'm on my second SP3.. First one had 0.4% wear out of the box which seemed good. This replacement has 3% already. Anybody else experience such a high wear figure out of the box?

Me too ,when you charge it more than twice, it will be ok.

Cool! I thought it happened the same way on last one but couldn't remember for sure (i.e. wear rate shrunk after a few charges)

It is all an estimate anyway just FYI, can be off as much as 10% vs actual usage

I recommend Battery Bar to keep an eye on this and battery performance. Mine started out at 0.1% wear (negligible, I know). After a full charge and then a few normal partial charges, mine has steadied at 0.0% wear of 44,270 mWh. So, actually more than design specs.

When I got my SP3 from Microsoft Store, it didn't have any battery left and the low battery icon was on when I turned on the screen. I had to charge it about at least 50% before I can turn on for the 1st time. I thought the SP3 was doa. But after it was charged, and after many cycles, the battery performs better and better each time, it can last about 7-8 hrs now. Knock on wood
