Audio Recording Recommendations.

I am looking to use my RT to record some Bass tracks for a friend.
Does anyone have any experience doing this on the RT? And if so, which app did you use?
From what I have found, It looks like 'Tape Recorder' may be my best option at the moment.

I've tested 'Tape Recorder' with a Plantronics DA-45 and it worked without issue. I'm thinking a USB XLR might also work.
