It's written by John C Dvorak, who if you've ever listened to on TWIT, is pretty much a guy extremely out of touch with modern tech. He used to be big in the 90's and still has the mindset from then. The fact that he wrote this actually is a good thing because pretty much everything he bashes ends up being pretty popular and successful.
