This morning there were 3 Win 10 updates. One was a "Feature Update" that specifically mentioned "Garmin" !! Installed all 3 -- took over 1 hour with many. many reboots. Device now recognized! I wonder if Garmon had a chat with Microsoft !! How do I close this thread?

Richland WA... I'll call Garmin again on Monday, but I don't hold out any hope from that quarter !!

I tried that, but no driver found. Contacted Garmin. They said the driver is in the downloaded software. Pointed thes earch to that directory (including subs) but still couldn't find (or recognize?) the driver.

Surface Pro 6, latest Win 10 Home with Updates. Vivosmart HR and Vivosmart 4 activity devices. Plug into the USB socket and I get "Unrecognixed Device" even tho I'm using the Garmin supplied software (same message with TomTom GPS device) BUT, they work just fine on an ASUS Notebook running...
