Using Acronis 2015 on Pro - have used Acronis for years with no issues, but as you said "1 fits all" may not apply anymore. I may try your suggestion on the Pro - thanks.

1 of the issues I have is booting to an Acronis Rescue USB - it can be an adventure at times. 1 of the other problems I have is going from my i7 OC'd desktop to the i5 Pro 3, which is not quite as quick. Patience is not my strong point ;-)

Had my Pro for about 1.5 years now - this has to be the most, and only, complaint I've got with it. It doesn't seem to react with any consistency when trying to boot up to USB....will give your ideea a try as soon as I get it up and running...thanks mkn950u0

I have an i5 128GB Pro 3 and am aware of no recall, other than the power cord replacement. Cord already on its way to me. ETA OT FYI - Filed claim for new cord on 1/21/16, it will be here today, 1/27/16 - can't complain about this.

Just out of curiosity, and slightly OT - why would it not work in your area, or any area - fingerprints are fingerprints aren't they? Localized drivers? As mentioned above, very happy with Pro 3 - BUT - were I get another one, I'd go with the i7 model inststead of the i5.

Got the Pro 4 dock and type cover for my Pro 3, worthwhile investments IMO.

On my PC I keep backups of the drives in case updates don't work out well. Would this method work for a firmware update on an SP3?
