Jim , I bought a Samsung drive and that didn't work either. I actually bought a DVD drive by mistake , it kept connecting and then un connecting like this new one. I wondered if it was a USB issue but it works ok with my external hard drive . I'm stumped with this one

Ok thanks. Well I just tried plugging it into the USB on the charger and used the other USB port on the surface to connect it. At first it connected ok , stayed connected allowed me to open iTunes , started to import the cd....... then....... it says" unable to locate file . Now it wont even...

Hi all i just purchased an external cd drive so i can download cds into itunes. I found out now its usb 2.0 and it connects , then unconnects. It wont work ! Do i need one with usb 3.0? thanks

Oh dear. You reckon i could have problems down the line ? Do you know what file needs to be on the hard drive ? I have only put the media files on the sd card and all the rest is on the hard drive so hopefully that will be ok.

All looking good. Paired up my headphones tonight and all seems well. Lack of an equaliser is rather annoying though!!

yes thats what we saw, then we scrolled down to D: drive where the SD card is located and clicked on it but no files at all were showing. I put the sd card back in the mac and it seems no files were saved on the card despite being told it had copied all the files across.

We have a problem !! I tried to copy from the mac after formatting the micro sd to exfat on my surface. I then copied the itunes media library and it took about an hour or so. When i pit it in the Surface it says its empty , so i put it back in the mac and it says the same , obviously . Cant...

And that works ok Bill ? Hope its quicker than Knowhow Cloud it was going to take nearly three weeks to upload 68gb of tunes !!
