I installed the Citrix Reciever (win32 client) and the USB xHCI drain started again. With uninstall everything went back to being OK again. So I am pretty sure I found (at least...

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Well.. I THINK I found the program causing the USB xHCI on my surface.. The Citrix Reciever (Win32).. Problem starts again after installing it, and is gone after uninstall.. Will try the MUI version to see if it works better..

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Question: I have been using "JottaCloud", a cloud backup service. Could it be the cause of the USB xHCI?

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Thanks again for all your replies.. I bought the Surface with a 30 day guarantee (money back if not satisfied), and since 30 days was approaching fast I decided to hand it in and buy a new one! The new one had even dropped about 80$, so I'm happy.. So I am currently on a brand new Surface...

Could this be a hardware error or not likely? Considering changing the whole Surface in a new one.

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

I think the Citrix is the win32 client (I think). VLC is MUI (I think).. Not an Expert here.. Same mouse, but with BT.

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

No luck on uninstalling all programs from Apple.. This is insane.. When I google it, I find that many people have similar problems, but there seem to be NO fix that is actually resolving this issue?

Well.. Celebrated too early! It is back.. Tried to check after every installed app, but not really sure what caused it.. The last program I installed before it re-appeared was iTunes from Apple.. Anyone have any good ideas?! This is killing me!

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Thanks for the replies guys. I have tried to refresh Windows, and SO FAR it looks OK.. A bit of CPU usage during sleep, but not the 100% USB.. Now the big question: Will connecting something to the USB be a problem?

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Seems like some of the same problem here: http://www.surfaceforums.net/threads/what-is-this-battery-hog.9969/ Is a reset of Windows the only good option here? Or just stop using Connected Standby and shut the damn thing off every time (not a very good solution)..

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Have tried to google as much as possible about the problem, and found that some others had the same problem.. Many relates it to Skype and/or other applications for calling/messaging?! Tried to uninnstall Skype to see if any solution is found there.. EDIT: Did not seem to fix anything..

    Battery drain in "Connected Standby"

Thanks for your reply ptrkhh.. I hoped I didn't need to reset Windows, but if that is needed I will give it a try later on.. Is it a difficult thing to do? Never tried this at the Surface or with Win8! Did it solve your problem right away?

Doesn't look like any information is found there unfortunately: I have tried to create a new Sleep Report today, but only get the "same" with the Connected Standby's from yesterday?! Anyone know how I get a report from the latest ones??

I have only owned the SPro3 for about three weeks and I feel that it has been like this since I bought it.. I did however install both the USB mouse and the virutal drive one of the first days after purchase..
