Thats weird I have that installed on the 9th but the site says published on the 15th...

I have one failed update from sept. 19th which was a duplicate firmware update that was successful back on september 9th. After that failed update something appeared to have changed...and now I am noticing the issue with the fan and battery life. I don't think you can undo a firmware update can you?

Thanks everyone for their comments ... CPU usage actually doesn't seem to matter as the fan always seems to be on..either in low or high mode... my task manager is open and I do not see CPU utilization more than 20% most of the time...normal range stays under 10% as I do not use CPU intensive...

yes that is correct...I do have hyper-v enabled

when you pause the show or exit the app can you hear the fan running? the sound of the fan wouldn't be heard if the sound is still playing or if it is noisy outside...thanks

All of you surface pro 3 owners , especially i7 but would like to hear from the others as well...regarding the fan...from a cold start where the fan is off...when you start netflix can you start watching a show without the fan coming on immediately? I think i once had a well oiled machine ...but...

Yea same here it closes out sometimes writing notes but every time i go back in the last sentence was saved but not the last word i was writing...i just rewrite it and go on...no big deal

Thanks Wayne...the weird thing was when in onedrive there was no option to download individual files..just to share them...but yes there is the option to download the folder..so that worked :)

Hello all...just curious before anything bad happens...how do you manually back up your onenote notebooks? I have read instructions for the desktop version but the same options do not apply to the metro version...I am afraid with all of the cross platforming one device or another will sync...

i think the fan may be an unrelated event...i rolled back the drivers and still fan is on

those that have installed this driver have you noticed an increased use of the fan? seems like after i updated the driver the fan is always on...
