Bummer - Wireless type cover adapter won't do 2 finger scroll?

It supports the standard Bluetooth keyboard/mouse protocols -- or at least what they were when it was made, not sure if newer versions of those protocols offer multi-touch mouse functionality... Regardless, the wireless keyboard adapter has been discontinued -- you can still find them, but no...

    Chrome resizing slow

I haven't -- I'm using the current 64 bit release, but have been using it for years -- my experience has been the opposite of slow. What version are you using?

Ways to make IE more like chrome.

Your 'Chrome' account is actually your Google account. You can access a lot of your info by logging into Google from within IE, however, for some reason bookmarks no longer show up in the 'Bookmarks' once you're logged in, at least they don't for me. It appears those bookmarks are separate...

Finally a stable Chrome that works with high-dpi displays. No more fuzzy text.

Next up -- they just need to fix the battery issue for the Windows version of Chrome -- up to a 25% reduction in battery life whenever Chrome is open, whether it's being used or not. For now at least this only occurs if the browser is open...

    MUI IE vs Chrome Performance

I've not read using one mode vs. the other has an effect on battery life -- I believe the issue is present in Chrome for Windows in general. Regardless, we'll likely see a fix soon and it'll all be history... =)

    MUI IE vs Chrome Performance

It boils down to preference -- choice is good ;-)

    MUI IE vs Chrome Performance

The issue relating to battery life will be fixed soon, if Chrome is your preference otherwise, there's no reason not to use it -- or for now install both and use Chrome when you're plugged in. Until then, you can expect >up to< a 25% reduction in battery life. So, if your Surface Pro 3 were...

    MUI IE vs Chrome Performance

Click the 3-line menu button and choose 'Relaunch Chrome in Windows 8 Mode', it's in the current release of Chrome.

    Surface Case Reviews

I finally go around to ordering one of these, just arrived today. Wow -- nice case, amazing how much you can fit into something that small. I like the idea of that pouch on the shoulder strap, but it's not quite big enough for much -- I'm sure I'll find a use for it someday, but for now I have...

Anyone happier after switching to i5 from i7?

Probably i5 is a safer bet, the overheating issues are apparently real. By the time you're ready for another upgrade, things will have cooled-off ;-)

Looks like Microsoft is going all in with Best Buy

It isn't Best Buy as much as it's Microsoft. Microsoft was late to the game to participate in the 'store-within-a-store' program. Apple and Samsung have been doing it for a while, and all 3 of them pay dearly for it... Microsoft started leasing their spaces in June of 2013 and are rolling out...

How to have a "skinny" vertical taskbar.

It has a generous 30-day trial, $20 if you decide to buy. Powerful, highly customizable, and not without a learning curve -- but once you've tweaked it to your liking, it's just there -- and when you use other PC's, you wish it was on them too ;-) Of the available options, use the 'standalone'...

How to have a "skinny" vertical taskbar.

Actually, it's in toolbar-mode. Mine is a left-side auto-hiding toolbar. The Start Menu button is on the right side of the 2nd row of icons. Some of the buttons are menus, others launch apps. I've found IconArchive.com to be an excellent source of free icons to give the toolbars a consistent...

How to have a "skinny" vertical taskbar.

...or a taskbar that can be as skinny or wide as you want, autohide or not, contain plugins and buttons or menus (including a 'Start Menu'). TrueLaunchBar

Do you use Metro or Desktop?

Desktop for me. I like the Modern OS, I think it's well designed -- but much of what I use are desktop oriented. Outlook... MS Publisher... Quicken... Quickbooks... iTunes... JRiver Media Center... ZoomPlayer... Evernote Desktop (the Modern UI version is terrible, but getting better). One...
