Thanks I've installed that one before, but couldn't figure out a way to actually replace the stock MS one. Can't find any settings in the ease of access centre. edit: Looked at instructions online and the file just doesn't install properly.

Anyone know if there is a swipe keyboard available for Windows 8? When i'm using my sp3 with one hand for typing it takes a long time to type and swipe keyboards for my note 3 have been a huge time saver.

I had a good experience when my old SP3 had a fan issue. Store wouldn't replace without sending it off and they sent me an email confirming that the SP3 had an issue and the store should replace it for me. Spoke to the store and showed them the email and got a new one :)

When I bought my SP3, it was because I wanted a Tablet which wasn't a toy. SP3 surpassed my expectations but the Surface 3 at those price points was the tablet I would have purchased if available. I use my surface all the time when travelling and was frustrated at my iPad's inability to play...

What's a Sleep Study? I do pretty much leave everything open when closing the cover - when I say everything, that's Chrome and File Explorer, with a MUI app or two running in the background thrown in (maybe)

I've noticed this over the past month or so. I close my surface type cover and then I return an hour later and I can hear it running. I then open the cover and the screensaver is active instead of standby. Is there a setting I am using incorrectly or is this happening to anyone else?

I've found nothing which is as good or even close to the gmail app - especially for acceptable email syncing times. Metro mail doesnt display all emails correctly. The generic Mail app syncs emails horribly. I use Outlook desktop.

I kicked the cable whilst transferring some files from my old external USB drive to my SP3 and the entire thing just corrupted and lost all my old files :( Did the same with my USB 3.0 WD external drive and nothing happened. I do always like to eject for safety though.

Apps are currently the best way to interact on a tablet as they have been fully developed for touch screen control from the ground up. Desktop programs have not been designed in such a way, which is why they can often be fiddly to use imo.

That's definitely something that frustrates me. You can't tether from an iPhone to an android phone but you can vice versa. That's something I would definitely have to think about
