After several reboots, uninstalling and reinstalling the camera and several more reboots, the driver display error message no longer appears, brightness controls work, no black screens, and Windows Hello is operational again. Something worked.

Since the recent update (KB4284835) on Tuesday, 6-12-18, I have been getting black screens upon startup, freezing, and problems with brightness control. I have tried the recommended search for updated drivers, but none seems to exist. Is this a current, ongoing issue? I'm on build 17134.112

Count me among the happy users as well. Things were a little rough when the device was released, but now just about everything is working as well as I'd hoped, or better. I'm very pleased with the SB at this point.

With the intervening updates, my SB issues are just about nil, except for an occasional failure to boot upon awakening from overnight sleep (the SB, not me). And the frequent screens of file manager opening up stopped when I went through UEFI and unchecked the reboot option for the usb drive...

Thanks. The Hello feature was working fine for a while but only recently started to act up. I'm pretty sure I've run all the updates, but I'll give it a shot anyway. What haveIgot to lose? I'll have a better idea by tomorrow.

As the topic says. when my SB comes out of sleep mode after a long duration, as overnight, the Hello camera fails to open and I have to resort to a manual pw. Disconnecting the tablet and reconnecting it will usually bring up the camera. Any known fixes? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've tried changing the font settings there, to no avail. They are set exactly as they are on the two desktop PCs running win10 that don't have the problem, and that's what makes me think it's a SB issue, not platform or program related.

Most of the text is miniscule, but even with the view magnification pushed up to 200%, only the central pane gets somewhat better. Other panes for different functions & options are pretty much unreadable.
