    Solved HDMI Scaling on TV?

I think you'd need the intel control panel for that

Poll What do you want to buy, Surface Pro or Surface Book?

But it's not a bold new design as such, it's no different than a Asus Transformer but with a more complicated hinge.

Windows 10: data upload not working on wifi

Might not work, but we've (my work) has had tons of support calls where Outlook doesn't send on Windows 10 for mysterious reasons. Every time we've closed Outlook, run sfc /scannow from the command prompt (admin) and let it fix the errors, and then it's worked fine. However more specific to...

Poll What do you want to buy, Surface Pro or Surface Book?

Yes, the hinge is ridiculously over complex. Laptop hinges were solved about 20 years ago. That Muscle wire release catch? a Fulcrum? External GPU? What problem do they solve? If that muscle wire catch is supposed to be super strong then why is there still screen wobble? If the hinge doesn't...

Poll What do you want to buy, Surface Pro or Surface Book?

Surface Pro 4, the Book just has too many complications and downsides. Unfortunately it seems to be a beautiful, but completely over-engineered creation.

    Surface Clone - HP Spectre 12 x2 - Wow

This bit was kind of hilarious: (Talking about the Kickstand): ...So they said they used that ugly looking kickstand so there was more space for battery, but then made the whole thing thinner and used the same size battery? Derp!

Dual Boot Surface Pro 3 with default Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.x

I'm not talking about dual booting, just virtualising a machine and running your program with it. VirtualBox or VMware would do this easily.

    CPU/GPU Specs, Why no info?

Correction - when there is an nVidia gpu AND you have the nVidia software running on the machine. Surface typically do not come with any 3rd party software so you can't say for certain it will have this function, especially if it is a custom chip.

Pro 4 vs. Surface Book vs. iPad Pro...

I still struggle too see how any professional applications can run at 3000x2000 on a 1GB GPU.

Welcome to the new Surface Book forum

Yeh that GPU with a pathetic 1GB of memory - gaming with 1GB on that resolution??? Yeh right ok... most powerful device hahahaha What we have is a SP4 in a thinner shell with a external GPU and battery. Sorry but whilst this is a cool idea, it just can't compare to a dedicated laptop.

    Drawing on the Surface Book

Yeh no actual person will draw like that with it open unless they're an idiot. Just pull out the tablet, flip round and then fold it back down over the keyboard, would give a nice angle for drawing.

Welcome to the new Surface Book forum

Thing is, the Surface Book is not AT ALL a laptop. It's just a surface tablet and an expansion base. All of guts, except the external gpu are housed in that tiny thin tablet meaning thermal constraints and limited space = tablet performance.

Is the RAM and Hard Drive Upgradable

Yeh as the 'guts' are all still in the tablet section you'll probably need to (at the least) use a heat gun to melt the glue and then try and pry the screen without it breaking just to get a look inside.

    Weight of Surface Book Screen

Well it's not really fair to compare to a device five years old, it's not like this is is a gen1 surface tablet. For comparison an iPad Air 2 is 0.96lbs or the iPad Pro is 1.57lbs.

    iPad Pro vs SP4

Considering that entire article is speculation - "Rumour" "A graph that purports" I wouldn't make any assumptions based on that yet.

iPad Pro vs SP3: Let's Measure Apple's Reality Distortion Field

My first thought is what a waste of my time it was reading that. I learnt literally nothing. He just vaguely rambles on abut Apple's iPad Pro webpage and only at the very end mentions something linked to the title: "How the iPad Pro is received both in the media and by consumers compared to...

    iPad Pro vs SP4

I just noticed how the Pencil charges... You take the cap off and plug the lighting connector in to the bottom of your iPad. So you iPad basically has a thin 10" stick hanging out of it while charging. Practical right?!?
