    Mine is definitely down compared side by side using the same website www.speedtest.net. I don't much about the antennas in these either, now good the wireless antenna is or even how many. Most tablets have two antennas allowing greater throughput some have three such as the MacBook Pro.

    I would look at it this way. The Surface 3 is a study in just enough oomph to do basic stuff but in an amazingly compact case with fantastic build quality and a great screen. If you have any doubts about performance just go for the SP3. It includes a pen too.
