    Does Keyboard Wrap/Fold Around?

The reverse wrap around, the keys face the back of the surface and are not exposed when wrapped around, is a great tip. Protects the rear of the surface and offers a nice feeling grip. The only downside is the added weight compared to not having the keyboard attached in tablet mode.

Is There a Way to Control When the Fan Kicks In

I am familiar with XTU. There is nothing in the link or in the software that I can see that allows you to change fan settings. I was hoping there would be some utility like the one that comes with Asus motherboards that allow you to setup custom thresholds.

Is There a Way to Control When the Fan Kicks In

It appears that the fan kicks in around 87 degrees and once it gets going it reduces temperatures quickly. The problem is that thermal throttling also kicks in reducing performance and it takes a little while for the temps to get down where thermal throttling stops. End result is that...

    where to get Bluestacks?

Wonder why it wouldn't work properly on my system. Did you install the update that gives you access to the play store? Once I did that the program became a major resource hog. Fan came on full and battery remaining indicator went from 4 hours to 1. It also told me the WiFi networks were not in...

    where to get Bluestacks?

I found DuOS to be a major resource hog. Whenever I ran it my fan would come on full and my battery would drain quickly.

    Estimated Battery Life Remaining

Its a desktop program. The thing I don't like about it is the value is always changing which makes it relatively useless for me.

    SP3 Dock vs Plugable UD-3900

If your not interested in the sleek, clean design of the Microsoft Dock then why spend the extra money on the Pluggable. Just buy a USB 3.0 powered hub and, if you need it, a USB/Gigabit adapter. 3 Plugs to the Surface, power, display and USB. As neat and convenient as the Pluggable but less costly.

    Docking station please come soon!

I hope you are correct but I doubt it. Because there is only one USB port on the motherboard then there will be a limited number of USB devices that will be able to be connected at one time. Once you exceed this limitation you will receive a USB resources exceeded error message. I highly doubt...

    Docking station please come soon!

May be more physical USB ports but still limited to the power bandwidth of one which means the same "out of USB resources" problem as the SP2. Microsoft should have incorporated a second USB port on the SP3 motherboard.

    SP3 - i7

The two significant differences between the i5 and i7 8 gb versions are the processor and the graphics, the former includes the HD4400 where the latter comes with the HD5000. There is no doubt that the i7 should outperform the i5 but by how much and at what cost. Will there be a sufficient...

SP2 Owners: Satisfied or Regret Upgrade to SP3

What is the verdict on upgrading from an SP2 to SP3: worth it or not?

Pros/Cons of SP2 vs SP3 from My Perspective

Returned my SP3 today. Although it is a nice unit I can honestly say I am happier with my SP2. I find movies to be clearer and the smaller form factor easier to travel with and use on the road.

Is This Finally the End for the Surface

Dismal sales = significant losses to the point where major Microsoft shareholders are clamouring for Microsoft to get out of the hardware business altogether.

    who's NOT upgrading to sp3?

Keep sipping the Microsoft Kool Aid. It really bothers me when people with have a vested interest try to mislead and deny. Your signature says it all. I suppose according to you its also faster than the SP2.

Is This Finally the End for the Surface

I think you are missing the point here. Unlike Apple, Microsoft has suffered dismal sales. If they want this product to be successful, it has to be stellar. Releasing it with slow performance and serious heat issues is inexcusable. They are basically shooting themselves in the foot. Not only are...

    who's NOT upgrading to sp3?

i5/128. Runs hot during several apps including video. Many have reported this. Its fine for word processing and surfing but not for processor intensive apps. Its also slower than the SP2.

Is This Finally the End for the Surface

Reports indicate that the pen's pressure sensitivity function with programs such as PS were not working and users had to go to the pen manufacturer for updated drivers. Heat is a problem for higher intensive applications and has been widely reported. Slower performance than the SP2 both with...

If you don't need the bigger screen save your money and get a used SP2. Same performance, less issues.

Is This Finally the End for the Surface

Microsoft just don't get it. They have designed a winning product but execute it so poorly that their sales are dismal. The iPad is so successful because it is easy to use and just works. The Surface on the other hand is plagued with minor problems that require multiple driver and firmware...
