I had that jerky mouse too if I plugged the USB receiver into the hub, but found it didn't have that when it was plugged in away from hub such as on my monitor (I have a USB cable from hub to monitor USB in and 4 USB out ports on monitor).

If I recall correctly, with Office 2013 when you first open One Note with the pen button it asks if you want to keep One Note MUI as the default. Check in One Note 2013 options if there is an option to set it as the default version of One Note and see if that does it.

Well it's great you're "still ticking". Hope you get back to your old self soon. You know as a tablet the Surface is great for in bed use and from an easy chair (better than a desktop). It should help you pass the time while you recuperate.

I believe that option existed in Office 2013 but is lost when you upgrade to Office 2016.

Do you have the (free) app store version of OneNote? (It's the MUI version, should have been installed when Surface was new). That's the version that opens by default with the pen button.

Or you can right click on Start button and open Control Panel and get Tablet PC Settings there.

I do find the pen click to open OneNote useful (when it works:rolleyes:). I teach medical residents and students on rounds and carry my SP3 asleep. One click and I got a blank page in OneNote where I can can jot down notes or draw diagrams for teaching.

You can get a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and connect a monitor via mDP and use it as a desktop. You can connect a USB hub to connect many other devices (for home use a powered hub is best to power all those extra devices). And I have a mDP to VGA and a mDP to HDMI adapter to connect to...

I can't find PC Settings in Win10. I have Settings and Control Panel but there's no "General" under either. Are you using Windows 8?
