Frankly, I would exchange the SP3 under warranty. Having said that, you probably should reset your device first to see if that clears the issues you've reported. If not, exchange it.

I just saw somewhere that Windows 10 will be released in waves (one targeted locale after another) rather than en mass. If that's correct then I suppose we'll be notified when it's available for each of us.

This isn't of any specific help, but I know that some USB2 devices simply will not work with a USB3 port...backwards compatibility and all that, but USB3 ports do not always connect or function with some USB2 devices.

If using a different SD card doesn't seem to change anything, do the complete reset. After that you will know whether the S3 you have just happens to have hardware issues - if so, exchange it.
