I upgraded W7 Pro on my desktop several months ago. No problems upgrading and everything appeared to work fine except VM VirtualBox.

If the card is working on other Windows systems, it's probably not a formatting problem. Try "jiggling" the card, sometimes they don't make a solid contact when initially inserted. I'm also moving your thread to Microsoft Surface Accessories in case that doesn't work and you need more help...

Have you checked the card by putting it into another device.

You can toggle the icon to show/hide. R click "Show hidden icons", click "Properties", "Customize notification icons", set GWX to show/hide.

At times, it can take a while. Try waiting longer. Unless you're very low on free storage, it should eventually start the update process.
