can't wait to buy surface pro 4

I can't wait for SP5 (or 6). Skylake is going to be a beast. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/12/05/intel-corporations-skylake-is-a-bigger-deal-than-y.aspx (Tongue firmly in cheek)

Microcenter getting a special "batch" of i5 128GB tablets, is MS trying to make fools of customers?

The problem is that it sounds like you have already made up your mind before all of the facts are in. You're determined that the Samsung SSD is the issue and a Hynix SSD drive will fix it. The issue needs to worked a little deeper before that conclusion can be drawn.

Microcenter getting a special "batch" of i5 128GB tablets, is MS trying to make fools of customers?

I think your fine saying I purchased a SP3 and it's SSD is benchmarking slow. Now step 2 is to figure out why. Is it a bad driver, bench marking tool, defective hardware, model type, software conflict, etc... We're a long way from concluding it related to particular SDD model or that...

Microcenter getting a special "batch" of i5 128GB tablets, is MS trying to make fools of customers?

Listed below is a blurb from Anandtech review. I'm still really bummed that he was assimilated by Apple. Just like in previous designs, Surface Pro 3 integrates a SATA SSD (likely M.2 this time). In this case Microsoft uses an OEM version of Samsung's SSD 840 EVO, a 3-bit-per-cell MLC design...

    Apps vs Programs

A few programs work like that such as OneNote. Apps are geared for tablet use and work best there with superior touch support. The App store is a little bare so you've find the majority of goodies as traditional programs. I prefer using App's but I usually find myself in the desktop...

Microcenter getting a special "batch" of i5 128GB tablets, is MS trying to make fools of customers?

I don't see how Microcenter has anything to do with it. The SP3 is fully a Microsoft product . I'm surprised a Microsoft employee would confirm they use one brand component or another. It's very common for vendors to multi-source internal components. This has been true for a very long time...

Surface Pro 3 Eye Strain, and how I got rid of it. BUYERS BEWARE!!

I've also noticed that I'm starting to get eye strain in the evenings after being on a computer all day. I've been using computers 30+ years and professionally 20 years. After talking to eye doctor I'm chalking it up to old(er) age and needing bifocals. ;(

Wireless Keyboard Adapter for SP3 and all my stuff

    4. Media keys which I use to raise and lower the volume. The Microsoft keyboard is sorely missing this feature.

Wireless Keyboard Adapter for SP3 and all my stuff

Honestly it's too expensive. I purchased my Logitech K810 for less and it's a superior keyboard. Thanks for the info anyways.

Dead Marvel Wireless Controller? Any Ideas?

I agree but tablet's are a devices of compromised by definition. This is doubly true with the Surface Pro line since it's a two in one device. Maybe the SP4 will be a fanless device that is lighter and thinner and slightly less powerful or maybe if will have the same basic design with superior...

Dead Marvel Wireless Controller? Any Ideas?

I sincerely hope you're correct but those are some lofty expectations.

    In someways that's true.

Dead Marvel Wireless Controller? Any Ideas?

New hardware might fix old issues but will probably come with new ones too. I've owned at one time or another ipad 2/3/4/air/air 2 and rMini. Each generation fixes some stuff and breaks other stuff. Another example is the Yoga pro 3 which many people think is interior to the yoga pro 2...

    Frustrating piece of...

Of course I know you're fully correct. It's also why I my mostly use my SP3 docked with a 21' monitor since I'm stuck in legacy land. Funny, albeit slightly morbid story. We had this one really, really old legacy app that we couldn't get ported to Win 7. We finally try calling the the...

    Frustrating piece of...

I fully understand that there's two sides to the equation. In this case Microsoft could be more like Apple and push the development community towards supporting high DPI screens. It's Microsoft's garden and it needs tending.

    Frustrating piece of...

I do agree Windows 8.1 handles high DPI screens poorly. Unfortunately it doesn't look like windows 10 is going to improve on it either.
