Thanks. If olidex9 hadn't posted exactly what he wanted I wouldn't have thought of it either. Windows 8 works great for DNLA. So easy to send things over to the TV. :)
I do that now via the device charm. You need a TV that is PlayTo certified (Can force it to work on most TVs though) and connected to the same network as the Surface. I can send a film to the TV and do anything on the surface and it doesn't effect it at all.
Oion is right it wont be available in the app switching but will still be running in Task Manager. Ive not looked but I bet theres a registry setting you could change to get the time to say 1 second.
Love my Surface RT with 8.1. Runs faster than 8 did and has much more functionality than 8 as well. You wont regret it but it will seem slow compared to your Pro.
I find SkyDrive app to be a little hit and miss sometimes. Ive had upload problems many times so I just double check after saving documents that its uploaded correctly.
If your router is 6-7 years old I would most certainly just replace it. There really not expensive; you can get ones for £10 but I would recommend spending more and do research first! if your going to get another 6-7 years out of one better to get a good one now.
Clearly your router doesn't like the Pro or vice verse. Get a cheap router and connect to that and just use a network cable between them. Not an ideal solution but it should work.
Unlikely.. but theres plenty of devices that say they only support 32GB and work with 64GB cards just fine. Just means they've not been tested generally.
Might have been better to get a 64GB S2.. but sounds like you got a good deal on a 32GB. I'd leave 2-3GB for the system. It will soon moan if its running low. Hopefully we will have 128GB SD cards in the near future. :)
