    Processor recommendation

You'll benefit more from the NVMe SSD than the CPU upgrade. Then again, both upgrades should give noticeable performance. Just don't expect night and day difference.

No more throttling for Surface Pro 3 :)

But it doesn't throttle. It hurts the battery in the long run though

No more throttling for Surface Pro 3 :)

The back plate has to get warm though to dissipate heat. It throttles because heat is concentrated only on the half part of the surface. Surface pro 4 solves the heat issue this by spreading the heat on the WHOLE back plate by attaching a huge copper slab on the middle of the surface back plate.

Surface Pro 3 Dock USB 3.0 ports slow

Must be an isolated problem for you since I just tested by connecting my old 32 GB Lexar USB 3.0 drive (normally attached to my router) to the surface dock usb 3.0 port and I get 50 Megabytes/sec write to the USB drive:

Video Very Laggy Now with latest Updates?

Streaming 4K video while pinging test (buffering about 120 Mbps YouTube speed stream). Still 0 ms ping average (99% 0-1 ms ping) and highest ping of 19ms during the whole 4K stream test. Video Very Laggy Now with latest Updates?

I fairness, I bought Linksys WRT1900ACv1 about 2 months before I bought the SP3. I did know that the Linksys had a Marvell chipset like the SP3 which pretty much make for best compatibility with Surfaces. I just did a ping stability test from my sp3. I pinged my Linksys WRT1900AC 300 times to...

    slow wireless network download speed

No problems here. Ultra fast WiFi from my SP3. Speed is slightly lower than my 300 Mbps internet plan due to other clients streaming videos and other stuff:

    The SP4 M3 i5 & i7 Processor specs Rev. 10/10

Anxiously waiting for throttling test. My SP3 i5 gets to 90 degrees @ 100% utilization on 2 cores without using hyperthreading when doing windows update disk cleanup but fortunately it doesn't throttle as shown by Intel power gadget:

Yep. Mine always load and never freezes

    Solved HDMI Scaling on TV?

Yep for older tvs that doesn't have pixel mapping, you will have overscan and Intel control panel can easily fix that. Mine removes autoscan automatically and scales it 150% on a 4K resolution.

Welcome to the new Surface Book forum

SB is too expensive given that it only uses a ULV dual core chip, and an entry-mid range GPU performance. If it's priced $300 more than SP4 without keyboard, it would be good value. iPad Pro will surely sell more than SB, but SP4 will outsell the iPad Pro IMO.
