Multiple Issues With Surface Hubs Dormant For Months During Pandemic Showing Not Compliant In Intune

First issue: There are errors in Intune stating “Enrolled user exists.” That’s a bad non descriptive error. “Exists” So what? Can’t find any actual fix for this. We have every version of Surface Hub from the original release to the 2S. Second issue: They are running the 2017 version of...

How to Apply Intune to Surface Hub?

In a search, I just found someone else asking a similar question on Microsoft Answers and the answer they was given was just to apply the Intune license to the device account the Surface Hub signs into Skype with. Surface Hub managed by Intune & Licensing via EMS - Microsoft Tech Community -...

Microsoft to issue Surface firmware updates to address Meltdown and Spectre exploits

They didn't say they are in progress, delayed or waiting for Intel. They just didn't mention the Surface 3 at all as if it is too old to bother with.

Microsoft to issue Surface firmware updates to address Meltdown and Spectre exploits

No firmware patches for the Surface 3 either. The Surface 3 didn't even reach the first customers until May 2015. So, this means the oldest Surface 3s are still less than 3 years old and some are less than 2. Yet, Microsoft still decided these are "older models" that won't get patched?

How to prevent Windows Hello Automatic Login?

Is there a setting to require a key press or screen swipe to activate facial recognition so the attempts at facial recognition only happen when you want it to? Some of our users have turned off Hello or put tape over the camera because unintended screen unlocks and the camera waking up, trying...

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

I don't even understand how your "network" even relates this feature since the connection is direct between devices and doesn't connect to the local wifi network. I was able to connect two devices that were not even joined to the same wireless networks.

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

That isn't the answer for this. The network is labeled as "Secured" in the list of available wifi networks, but this feature still doesn't work unless it's set as "Available everywhere." Clearly, there is some unique requirement that applies only to "Project to My PC." Has anyone here actually...

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

For the purposes of the project to PC feature this thread is about, Microsoft actually is determining what is a secure or not secure network. The problem is, they aren't letting you know what their definition of secure network is. Without knowing what Microsoft thinks a secure network is, the...

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

Several guesses here, but Microsoft to simply document exactly what they mean by secure network rather than leaving it to interpretation. If a secure network means 802.1x network, why not just say 802.1x network instead of "secure network?" The networks I tried that didn't meet the secret...

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

Thanks, but that isn't it. I don't a generic description or tips on network security. I need to find specifically what the OS is looking for to label the network as secure or not for the project to PC function. Networks can be labeled as private or public networks, but I don't see anything...

Anniversary Update Project To This PC on "Secure Networks"

Both networks I tried it on were WPA2 password protected wireless networks. There is something else it's looking for, but they are leaving the requirements to guesswork for some reason.

Windows Hello Face Recognition Not Working

All the latest updates and firmware are installed and trying to set up Windows Hello for the first time on one of our Surface Books.
