What is the big deal? They still sell the SP2 for those that want it, heavily discounted mind you. Then there's the SP3 which is a different machine and offers different advantages. Where has Microsoft said "The SP3 outperforms the SP2 in sustained performance!"? What is the point of the SP2...

The SP3 handles all of Adobe CC 2014 extrememly well. Photoshop is especially optimized for it as kozak79 mentioned, it handles the pen perfectly and it's UI is scaled for the high-res screen of the surface. The other applications have no UI scaling as of now. I have great vision so it doesn't...

You need to download the beta drivers for the HD5000 from intel's site for use with CC2014. For CS4, it may not work. To try, you have to add the hardware to the GPUsniffer config file in the Adobe folder.

My i7 seems to be running cooler and the fan running less often. Ex. It kicked up in premiere when rendering a small clip then quickly the fan turned off. In the past, the fan stayed on long after. Not sure if this is because I haven't been running long for an extended time.

My i7 does seem to be cooler and the fan runs less than before Tuesday's update.

For $22 more. I had this one (1TB). The arm jumped the platter after a month and I never got my data back.
