Can you tell me more about the n900 thing? First, what is an n900 router... is this a brand/model or a type of router? Second, Can the Music App see files stored on a USB drive connected to this n900 router? Thanks!

Thanks Leica. Yes, I own a Touch Cover already with my Surface RT. I'm a little more willing to spend the money to try out the Type Cover knowing that I could use it both with the RT and with the Pro (I plan to get a Pro... just not sure if it will replace or be in addition to my RT).

Do Surface RT and Surface Pro use the same Touch/Type keyboards? I just tried the Type keyboard at Staples yesterday. It felt much thinner than I expected and yet the keys still felt really good. I'm tempted to pick one up, but only want to spent the money if I can also use it with the Pro.

I learned this same lesson the other day when trying to setup my new Win 8 desktop with a QNAP NAS. Frustrating!

I just noticed that on my Samsung Series 7 slate, which is running Windows 8 Pro, the volume and screen slider does NOT appear and then immediately disappear when touched in the same way it does on my Surface RT. That's why I was having such a hard time getting used to it. Weird!

Thanks yeewiz. I think I can get used to holding and sliding pretty easily.

Has anyone else noticed this... swipe in from right, choose settings, select either volume or screen setting and the control slider appears and then disappears immediately. Second click pretty much always work fine.

Any possibility of a dock style keyboard from MS or from a 3rd party? I'm thinking something like the one for the Asus VivoTab RT. I'd like to be able to type with the surface on my lap.

No, all my prior laptops and tablets have used the more traditional plug style. I have had several phones that use the micro-usb connector. While I definitely agree that micro-usb can be a hassle to plug in sometimes, I'm finding the Surface's connector even more so. Speaking of which...

Is there a functional reason for this? Allows for faster charging? Something else? I can't stand it, so at least tell me it servers a purpose.
